Pearl wanted an open kitchen so that curious New Yorkers could watch their food being prepared. New Yorkers have become savvy about food and on most nights, there ends up a pretty lively discussion up and down the bar ‘what's good where,' recipes, that kind of thing.

The restaurant is an adorable little place, with very dark lighting and that sets the mood all the way from the sushi bar. The menu can only be described as all encompassing; you'll find everything from your basic teriyakis and tempuras to tasty specials, the best sushi boats in Nashville, generous and artistic preparations of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and shrimp,etc.
