Mandarin House was established in 1990 by owner and executive chef Chih-Fong Chen, and is very well known among the Chinese community for the authentic Szechuan / Taiwanese cuisine which it serves.

Mr. Chen started his apprenticeship at the age of 14 in the early 70's, and worked at some of the most famous restaurants in Taiwan before coming to America.
