In 1991. Scott Panian and Roland Keh teamed up to buy a part of the Roma Restaurant on High Street in Baltimore’s Little Italy. On January 2, 1991, Amicci’s was born. The mission, to bring terrific, home made, Italian comfort food, served in a relaxed, casual atmosphere to Little Italy.

Amicci’s was now a real Italian restaurant. They wanted their customers to get the best Italian food in Baltimore, but without having to dress up. They didn’t want Amicci’s to be a “special occasion” place, but a place that you can go to more frequently, and not empty your pockets.

Today, Amicci’s isn’t the same little 25 seat restaurant that opened in 1991. It is now 300 seats large and has a great bar. Amicci’s is still recognized by many publications as Baltimore’s Best Italian Restaurant. Amicci’s is still a family owned and operated independent restaurant.

Tapas is a daily event in the life of the Spanish culture. Mainly a Northern Spain, Basque regional tradition, it has grown to signify a way of eating and socializing. It is a custom that dates back past the 1500's. Traditionally, the exact food served is less important than the social occasion. Tapas is a way of life. Well, it’s really much more than that...

In addition to the best staff working extremely hard to make Burger Up all it can be, we continue to forge new relationships with farmers supporting the integrity of our mission.

We’ve witnessed marriage proposals, birthdays, anniversaries and first dates. Big Deals have gone down and new ideas have been born.
