Our Ali Baba is called by Pittsburgh magazine, “the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Pittsburgh”. In 1972, three struggling, native Syrian graduate students opened the doors to a modest ethnic restaurant. Because of their perseverance and dedication to satisfying customers, Ali Baba prospered. In 1973 staff was added which included tow chefs who continue to prepare authentic dishes in our kitchen today. Extensive remodeling took place in 1975 and 1982, which changed Ali Baba’s décor into what is seen presently.

We offer the finest Spanish Continental Cuisine, an award winning wine list and world class service. We are situated at directly south of the Monongahela River and the Birmingham Bridge on Pittsburgh's South Side in an historic 3-story townhouse.

Our menu offers an array of selections, including sandwiches, pasta, pizza, chicken, veal and seafood. Notable selections include Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Lemon, Broiled Scrod Marinara, Vodka Rigatoni, Gnocchi, and Veal Romano.

Point Brugge Café opened in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh’s East End in January 2005. Its Belgian-inspired cuisine, fresh ingredients and reasonable pricing made it an instant hit with the neighborhood and beyond. Point Brugge is consistently rated one of the top restaurants in the area by major publications and social media sites.

Chef Michael Rudman is a master of contemporary American cuisine, with strong regional and international influences. While the menu features our luxurious crab cakes and an array of fresh seafood, diners can also enjoy steaks, veal, pasta, chicken and more. Vegetarian entrees are always available by request, and we are happy to offer children's menu selections.

In 1958, Giovanni “John” Mineo set out to learn the bakery business. What he learned instead was the pizza business. At a time when pizzerias were few, Giovanni Mineo started his small business and progressively the business became a Pittsburgh staple.

When DOn Barna, RIch Lebedda and DOn Sninsky decided to buy Frank Gorisek’s fish and hamburger joint some 46 years ago, I’m sure they had no idea what this little bar would blossom into. Putting almost 30 years into the place, they passed the proverbial torch onto Scott in 1996. He then expanded and renewed and brought the little fish joint into the 21st century.

We offer both lunch and dinner. Reservations are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday Dinner. You are free to bring your own alcohol. There is no corkage fee, except on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Outdoor garden dining is opened for the season.
